Qddb is powerful database software. Using Qddb, you can quickly and easily create database applications. For example, using nxqddb(a program distributed with Qddb) you can create a complete database application in less than five minutes. Larger applications can also be developed using Fx, a powerful Tcl/Tk toolkit. If you're looking for a way to manage database information over the web through a CGI interface, consider using Hx -- another toolkit that comes with the Qddb distribution.
This manual is for users that want to learn how to use nxqddb. In particular, we describe the steps to create a Qddb database and then delve into how to manage that database using the nxqddb program. If you would like to learn how to program with Qddb's interfaces(i.e. Fx and Hx), you should reference the Programming Guide to Qddb.
Once you take the time to understand Qddb, you'll find it to be a rewarding, time-saving and productive tool. You'll be surprised at just how easy it is to create your own applications -- personal, or commercial!
