Qddb was started back in 1989 as a project to manage student records
at the University of Kentucky. Since this time, Qddb has been significantly
improved with new features,
 a few of which include:

- Fx -- a powerful Tcl/Tk graphical user interface library
that you can use in your own programs to customize your application's interface.

- nxqddb -- an Fx-based program for managing database information

- Hx -- an easy to use Tcl library for developing scripts for CGI
        online databases
- QddbScript -- a very simple language (like HTML) that enables users to
easily design the graphical user interfaces to their Qddb databases. A
quick and easy, complete template is automatically generated to reduce the
	amount of typing required.
- Report generator -- Produces listings, e-mail, postcards, letters,
fancy barcharts, and graphs. Barcharts and graphs can be built using
a plethora of time summary configurations, ranges, and multiple nested searches.
- Import CSV -- Import flat CSV tables directly into a Qddb database
	from the convenient user interface.
- Export - Export reports and search results in a variety of formats for
convenient import into other popular applications.
- Postscript printing - print out long/wide reports using a very
configurable format on any postscript printer. Straight ASCII printers are also
	supported.
- text based tools -- We have maintained the original text based tools.
Does it work? You bet! The underlying database technology
makes creating and using databases easy, especially when
you use the Fx-based nxqddb program and the new
QddbScript.
